How do you make a hole- without making a hole??

This is a real mystery that is very easy to do, even for a child. Yet it will fool adults!

You start with a plastic triangul frame that has a clear plastic sheet inside. Let your spectator tap the clear parts with a pencil- they are indeed solid. Nothing can pass through. Place an ordinary playing card into each side of the frame, covering the clear plastic. Now, let your spectator push the pencil through the middle of the frame- the pencil goes through the card and through the solid plate! Take the cards out of the frame- the cards have holes in them, but the clear plastic is STILL SOLID! How can you push a pencil through a solid plastic plate?? Baffling- and really easy to do! A plastic frame is given out to the audience for examination. After which, the magician pushes a pen right through the center of the frame. When the pen is removed, everything seems unharmed again.
